Aiming to be a significant company that is useful to both our customers and society in general.

In 2008, we celebrated the 65th anniversary since the company was founded in 1943 as Ikeda Tokuji Shoten. During this time, we have remained focused on glass, and we have now grown substantially to become a group with three subsidiaries: Ikeda Glass Co., Ikeda Glass Industry Co. and I.S.G. Co. For this I would like to express my sincere gratitude for everyone’s support and cooperation.

In recent years, there has been increasing focus on problems such as global warming and pollution, and companies are now held accountable for their initiatives to tackle these kinds of environmental problems. The problem of crime is also getting worse and worse and increasing, with greater calls for “crime prevention” than ever before. At the Ikeda Group, we intend to use our glass technologies and products to respond appropriately to these problems.

In future, we will redouble our efforts as an integrated flat glass manufacturer with an integrated system covering everything from production through to sales and installation. These efforts will be centered on the three pillars of our business: glass for industrial applications, glass for architectural applications and glass for automotive applications. We will also keep abreast of the latest developments, as we aim to be a significant company that contributes to both our customers and to society in general by developing and supplying superior products to meet the demands of modern life.
